SWANAGE INCLUDING CORFE CASTLE & STEAM RAILWAY
Corfe Castle, Dorset (National Trust) was built shortly after the Norman conquest of 1066 and home to kings, knights and a princess. Corfe is a picturesque village with several shops and cafes for a morning coffee. It’s a five minute walk from the castle to the station, where we will meet to catch our steam train to Swanage on the Jurassic Coast. Swanage has many good cafes for lunch or just treat yourself to some fish and chips on the sea front overlooking the beach and Old Harry Rocks.
Organised by Camberley & District Probus Club.
Monday 21st – Sunday27th September 2026

Stretching from the unspoilt wilds of Northumberland National Park to the outstanding beauty of the Heritage Coast, the Kingdom of Northumbria has everything for a perfect holiday. Lush rolling countryside, spectacular forests, glorious sandy beaches, quaint villages and historic market towns mingle with mighty castles and ancient monuments that bear testament to bloody battles and warring clans of a bygone era.
